subutex precipated withdrawls

I took 4mgs of subutex yesterday at 330 pm.I went into precipated withdrawls immediately.so bad had to go to hospital.I'm back out how long b4 I can take the subutex or narcotics.RIGHT NOW I JUS WISH I COULD TAKE ABOUT 200 MGS OF METHADONE.I WAS ON METHADONE 300 MGS DAILY FOR 16 YEARS.I'VE BEEN OFF METHADONE FOR 3 WEEKS N HAD BEEN TAKING A FEW HYDROS FOR THE WITHDRAWLS .IT WAS 8 HRS OFF THE HYDROS WHEN I TRIED THE SUBUTEX.I'M SIK N TIRED OF LIVING LIKE. THIS PLZ HELP ME SOMEBODY...

You can go into PW's for up to 5 days on Methadone depending on Metabolism, frequency of M. use and last dosage. Hydros, on the other hand, only take about 12 hrs. So, as you know, your PW's were definitely from the Hydros. You should be a 6 out of 10 on the withdrawal scale (can't remember the acronym right now.) You don't have to be vomiting but you should definitely be tearing, sweating, yawning and have cold extremities and large pupils.

I feel for you! (Just as I know the above poster does.). I came off 20 yrs of Methadone and that first month & half ..well, I can't even remember it properly! Just know, that you can't take another opiate to kick an opiate. Is there a way you can get with a Pharmacologist or Dr. to get yourself some comfort meds? What dose were you actually coming off? Please, don't tell me you jumped at 300!

It's rough, but quite possible to do this if you're determined. Weaver above, did it. I've done it (shorter clean time than said Weaver.) and you can do it, too! Hey, and welcome. Do you have a sub doctor, or are you getting them on the street? Sorry about the PW, on methadone no less. It sounds like you had PW from the hydros. Need a little more info to know how to help. Did you taper the methadone or switch to hydros and then use subs? I was taking more or less 200mg of methadone and used subutex to detox. I switched to hydros for 4 days, then waited 24hrs, and induced with subs. So, are the PW over yet, usually about a 24hr experience. The PAWS of methadone is likely the major symptoms you are experiencing at this point. Hang in there, give us more info. Lots of folks willing to do what they can. keep posting.
