11 Months Clean Today!

Almost a year ago I went through detox hell. Hard to believe.
I want to encourage new people to stick with it. So many posts talk about life after meds...how can I ever be happy or have energy or feel the natural high of everyday living. Fear of being without the medicated false sense of well being is crippling. I am here to tell you life without pills is wonderful.
I've re connected with one of my loves - riding motorcycles. I can't explain the joy - the rush - I get riding along a country road. And I'd bet almost everyone has a passion that they've set aside for their addiction - running, stamp collecting, re building old cars, dancing...You name it, most of us have a source of happiness (besides family and friends) that, while using, seemed mundane - boring even.
Anyway, I'll stop my babbling. I've been enjoying myself so much and want to let others know that everything is possible when you're clean.
Thanks to everyone...Over and over again.

"CELEBRATE......CELEBRATE......DANCE TO THE MUSIC!!!!!!!"
Okay, so you can't hear me singin to you.......HAPPY 11 BIG MONTHS!!

You were in betwn 7 and 8 mos when I found this forum at about 55 days clean myself. After I stumbled thru using a computer again after 4 yrs and learned how to get around this forum, you were one of the very first people that posted to me.  I will never forget you because of that and because you stood out from others.  I loved your directness and the way you didn't pamper and sugar coat this fight for our lives!  You've been thru alot yourself since then and you are still direct and honest, albeit you have a new gentleness about you.

That new bike of yours???  I left you a note Nov 2nd about that beautiful machine and you say you got it Nov 5th???  So is that pic on your profile while you were still window shopping?  Hahaha!!   So glad to hear about your regenerated love and the wind on your face.  I always wanted to go cross country on a bike......gettin a little old for that idea now, tho'... LOL!

Lastly, let me say the 3 things that you have always shared that are critical for success......I've been thinking about that today and playin my weird "word games" with them trying to simplify them into a ditty. Ha!
So, if you don't mind, I'm gonna call them "The 3 S's"......Sources, Sharing, Support = Success   What do ya think?  Versus these 3 S's:  slipping, secrets and solitude???  I know, I'm weird, but weird is good Hahahaha!
Bunches of blessings to you, Kyle~
