What I did to make C/T better...

I was taking norco per my Pain Specialist  prescribed at 8/day.   I cut that down to 6/day for 3 weeks then down to 4/day for a few days.  I spaced them at regular intervals, never taking enough at once to cause any spikes.   I think that made a huge difference, because I had tried once before about 4 months ago going C/T right from 8 where I would take 2 together at night to feel a spike and that felt like hell.  

The end of Day 2 was the worst for me, but there were only about 4 horrible hours. By Day 3 I was on the upswing.  I'm 8 hours away from Day 7 and feel great minus a little back stiffness.  

It can be done!!  Use the encouragement on this board to take the leap, that's what I did!!

enemy48 - My accident injuries were broken sacrum, tailbone and leg - snowboarding accident. That all feels 95% great and nothing I can't live with.

The back stiffness is all mid back up to shoulders and that's where I hold my tension. So I'm hoping that once a few weeks pass and I am able to exercise away my tension more and more it will go away like it did for you.

That's a great relief to hear that you did so well.  I've been doing about your same schedule for awhile. I need to take that jump. I'm very happy for you and your recovery. Thanks for the encouragement.

What is wrong w/your back?

I had back surgery & still suffer w/other back problems.  My exhubby & People here told me the pain goes away....for the most part.

I'm day 20....7th & 8th days were the worst for pain in back.  9 through 15 were painless.  A little on 16 & 17.  None since.  I can live with that.  

Feeling the pain is part of the process for some of us.  Maybe not in your case.  That's why I' asking.

norco is hydrocodone 10/325  or double a vicodin.

Is norco lortab?  I am trying to taper from 6-8 ten mg tabs a day in 10 days?
