Two weeks - a real milestone in your recovery saga! As far as sleep goes, it is one of the last pieces to fall in to place. I've posted this before - I looked over my early threads, and found that I posted (complained) more about the sleep issue than I did about the days-in-hell detox. I used melatonin (sp?) for a while and it helped. I was very wary about becoming dependent on anything to help me sleep or whatever. But it was OK and did work.
So, it does get better. I stayed up late last night watching movies with my kids - slept till 10 a.m.  That's just around the corner for you.

14 days is fab!!  I don't want to be discouraging to you but I am 58 days clean and 30 days clean from suboxone (included in that 58 days) and I am still awake until 3 a.m. most nights.  I have been taking generic benedryl and melatonin.  I read a good article on this medhelp web site by a nutritional dr and he says because melatonin is a natural hormone that we lose as we age, and it is an antioxidant, we can safely take it.  Start with a low mg strength and then he says you can take it every 1/2 hr until you get sleepy.  Room has to be dark, tho.  I take a sublingual (dissolves under your tongue) and they are by nature's way, flavored and 2.5 mg.
I have to dissolve up to 4 or 5 before I can sleep.  He reports in his article that they have tested people and even at 100 mg (which we would never induce) but in this test case there were zero side effects.  It is more helpful than vitamin e according to this dr. (as far as additional healing benefits)

I have asked on this post about others and their sleep but haven't rec'd any suggestions, yet.  I have been told that because I was abusing 20-25 lortabs a day, soma 5-10/day, antidepressants, and a nerve damage pill that my adrenal glands are worn out, my brain needs healing in the neurotransmitters that give us natural endorphins, etc. so I may be a totally different addict.  I was taking all this for over 5 yrs  because of a spinal cord injury.  Just hope you are blessed with sleep sooner than me.  I post late at night when I'm lonely and need support.  Hang in there and I wish you the best!

Congratulations!! You are an inspiration to me, you should be very proud of yourself. I am on day 8 and the sleep thing is a joke right now. I don't want to take pills though, so I will just let my body adjust. It's hard, but we can both do it. Keep up the great work....you are a super hero!!!

congrats on 14 days!! I remember my 15th day was a real miselstone, before that I still felt the mental woes. Everyone is different, but you should be sleepinga full night soon. I haven't used it but I have heard nothing but good about the malentonin.

Hang in there, not too much longer for all the mental stuff to iron out. For me the anxiety was the worst thing, and it was the last to go, but it does go.

hugs,
Lily
