I am glad you found this doctor. We need more like him. Our body is a temple and you are taking good care of yours now. If you need surgery we will cross that bridge then.
I agree with Kyle regarding that surgery. I've seen it first hand the first 2 - 3 days after are especially rough!
Congrats on finding a doctor you like! That is great and I'm so glad that you're working on getting your pain fixed instead of masked!
I am really scared of ever taking those again...for any reason
One comment - rotator cuff surgery is one of the most painful procedures out there. If a doc tells you that you won't need meds at least the first few days afterwards then they probably have never had the surgery. Having said that, there is a way for addicts to use meds responsibly. Sarah has laid out a whole plan that I will use if I ever need surgery in the future. Remember - the pills aren't the problem, we are. They can be of help.

Alieve is the good one...Another thing.. over 15 years ago I was told that I would be in a wheelchair in two years because of my back...I made an appointment right on the spot with a physical therapist and gave him my results of my MRI and told him..Bet me I am going to be in a wheelchair...I asked him to tell me what to do and he gave me stretches to do everyday and I am very far from being in a wheel chair...I do them every single day..I don't to be such a dork today, but I am so tired of all these doctors that don't give us options to better our health ..What we eat is really everything and exercise is so important..I sure wished I would have taken better care of myself when I was younger..I am paying the price today...At least I am doing something now ...Hugs...
I am really glad to hear that you found a good doctor. I hope that with this dr's help you can get all of your pain issues actually fixed. I agree that we tend to mask our ailments and diseases. Granted some things can not be cured, or fixed, but some certainly can. I wish you the best of luck with this. Please take care and keep us updated on how things are going. Hugs to you! :)
Thanks for the info. So the doctor said that Aleve doesn't cause rebound headaches but Tylenol and Advil do?
I think Aleve is great for menstrual cramps. I get them really bad too.
