20 days in 4 1/2 hrs!!! OMG! Am I dreaming??

Every day I am more amazed at how far I've come. Especially because its been such a rough road coming off the methadone. I figured out that coming off the percocets wasn't sh*t compared to coming off methadone! Lol. I'm so glad I went ahead and stopped those too...Gnarly's suggestion btw. I thought I could get myself thru the methadone withdrawal first, stay on the Percs for a month and adjust, then taper off those. Luckily, I realized, why put myself thru hell twice if I can avoid it???!! Feeling a tiny bit better every day I think...of course I have my moments where I just KNOW I'm dying...lol...but I make it thru and look forward to 3:00 tomorrow! :) so come on 3:00! I need another day to call mine. Have a great day everyone...and keep those thoughts clear and be in control! I love having control back again...I have it away to a medicine bottle 8 yrs ago and am so grateful to finally be getting it back!!! #stillgoingstrong#

Thanks guys! And I must need to get me some of this "Muscle Milk"! I keep seeing ppl post about drinking it and they say it helps. I got a whey protein with 52% of the DV so hope that does something for me in time :)

Sweetness.. I can relate to the weight! I'm 5'10", 100lbs. Couldn't eat on pills. Can't eat off them but drinking so much Muscle Milk I know I'll gain.
Can't wait!!
Good job on 20 days!!

I can relate to the stiffness while I was on oxy. I remember barely being able to put my pants on in the morming! Lol. I'm 80+ days clean and can tell a huge difference in my flexibilty. I'm exercising daily and streching. I'm sure that has helped also. Keep up the good work!

Gnarly...got a question for you that may seem strange...but anyway....once the methadone came out of your system, did you actually have a BETTER range of motion? Crazy as it sounds, I'm finding myself doing things I sure couldn't do while on the methadone!  Bending over before was like trying to bend a 2 x 4....arching my back was just a no-no...but in the last couple days I can do both those with no problem! And very little pain! I seriously think that stuff had me stiffened up...like that 2 x 4 I mentioned. Lol. And I have found that I can do more things as each day passes...not that I'm out there running a marathon, but I did some exercises at home yesterday which is more than I can say for the last several years. And I've even asked my husband to bring my Ab-Lounge in from the garage. Hopefully I won't lose more weight doing that, pre-methadone I weighed roughly 140-145...and since the methadone I now weigh 110...and that's not where I should be.

HI Your doing great I felt like hel l for the first month but methadone can linger in your body and screw with you...as of now your making amazing progress thank God for that in a perfict world you may feel better in a month for me it was 90 days but thats what you get when you poison yourself at 150mg for 7ys it was a long road back but so so worth it keep your eyes on the prize and celebrate every victory your senses come back slowly but you really dont realize just what that stuff does to you till you off it and you come back to life keep posting for support...............Gnarly
