Thanks for the response.....If you're not feeling ready at 5mg. to jump, wait a little longer and get down a little lower. The clinic I had gone to strongly suggested that I continue tapering down 1mg. every week or 2 weeks until I got down to 1mg. I was getting eager to be done with the whole thing and I had heard from a few sources that jumping at 5mg. might be more beneficial. When you do jump, you just need to be prepared for some tough times. I kept hearing that and preparing for it, but in the end, I wasn't prepared for what came! It was a lot rougher than I thought! I'm not trying to steer you away from this, I just want you to know what could happen. Sleeping was the worst thing for me. Fortunately my regular doctor put me on Trazadone and it's worked amazingly. Ever since being on it, I sleep EVERY night. For me it started getting really ugly through the day on days 5 and 6 and I think 11 and 12 and I also had my absolute worse day on 15 if I remember correctly. Take loads of vitamins, drink plenty of fluids, stay busy, try to excercise and go to some AA or NA meetings. All of these things have helped me. Sometimes you may have to force yourself to get moving around and doing something. It's SO hard to that some days but it will make a difference. I'm not considering myself out of the woods just yet, but I think I'm coming to the edge of the tree line or at least I can see it in the distance.....Good luck and thanks!
MikeM70,
This is an awesome story..just what I needed to hear this morning. I have tapered down to 5mg (yesterday was my first day on this dose) and it is getting extremely rough around here....I am hoping to stay at 5 mg for a week or two and then jump.....hopefully, I can be where you are 22 days from now.
WOW This is a Wonderful Post !! Congratulations on 22 days ! Such determination through your taper and such a Good Attitude ! I'm so Glad you found the meetings to bring you support and comfort.. Thank you for posting.. lesa
Mike,
