need help and advice

I have been taking percs 5/325mg for the past 3 years i started out by taking half in am and a half in pm now I'm up to taking 2-3 a day.I do have issues with pain such as chronic sinustis amongest having a bad golfers elbow which not long ago recieved cortisone for which did take the pain away. but here i'm left still taking this amount of pain meds.I'm afraid of what i'm to expect and for how long to expect the sickness to last for.I have a 5 year old and i really see that these types of meds are liking dealing with the devil could someone pls give me the direction i need to kick this before i get kicked. Thanks so much for the reply.I'm scared but i need to do this for myself and my family.can you tell me some of the discomforts that i will feel.I will read on the Thomas recipie anything that will help.

There will never be an easier time than now to get clean....your use has been minimal but you have been on them a while so you will experience some discomfort.  If you have not totally abused your body over the years it will be easier for you than for many other members.
There are certain remedies that will alleviate some of the discomforts associated with withdrawals...check the health pages to the right of the screen for the Thomas Recipe...using vitamins and herbs and natural remedies.  Exercise and eating right will help substantially.

Hi~  If you don't need them,don't take them. I'd say just cold tukey. A few days of feeling really sick followed by a few more of feeling tired,unmotivated etc...Then you're free!

Have Immodium on hand and drink a lot of fluids.  Post here with questions.

Your dose is small but the length of time may set the pace for the withdrawals. You may be surprised though!
