26th hour

It has been 26 hours since I took my last Medthadone (1mg). I was addicted to lortab/percs. I would take 8 a day 5mg. one at a time. I had l5 methadone 10mg pills that I got to taper off my lortab addiction.
started with 10mg then 6mg 6mg 3mg 2mg 2mg 1mg and none yesterday(flushed the remaining mg). I had trouble sleeping last night but my whole life I had trouble sleeping. I feel fine physicaly. Little hot rushes now and then  energy level probably 90%. Wondering if I am going to WD from the lortab or the methadone or at all? I think I had withdrawals all last week since I went from 40mg a day of lotab to 2mg of methadone in 3 days. I know methadone half life way longer but from some research I did you needed to build up a tolerance for the max half life. Ex: a person that eats 100mg a day would have the full 72 hour half life while someone that ate a total of 5mg in 3 days may only have 24 hour half life. I am hoping that I may have a found a somewhat pain free comfortable detox method to anyone that ate under 50mg a day for a 9-12 months. The problem with methadone I gather is people abuse them once they get them instead of actually try and taper and then become addicted to them. I did 7 days of methadone. 10-14 is where you become physically dependent. Well I will keep yall posted. Regardless if I am going to have them or not the worry up until I took my last pill was bad enough.
Thanks

Yea, I was planning on about a month. I cant even remember what it feels like to be high on life. That is sad. Seems like everytime I quit taking pills in the last 3-4 years I never quit long enough to get that high only to get physical part out. Hopefully this time I will get through it mentally. I am also quitting smoking on day 12 of that so double the load.
Thanks

The mental part of this lasts a whole lot longer than the physical part....skipping wds is great but it is only a very small part of quitting...quitting is easy for many..staying quit is not...life changes and habits may have to change that r triggers for u to use...laying low is how i managed for a month or 2..i worked, exercised, did family stuff and meetings until i felt ready to socialize alot again..it takes a while but it is worth it!

34 hours since last methadone pill and I am get the same hot rushes and lots and lots of boredome. I find myself not wanting to do anything b/c I think I will not enjoy it. Keep in mind I took pills all day and night so whatever I did I was on pills. The bad part I know that if I did go out and do something would be better than sitting around the home. I am dreading tonight b/c its friday night and we are sitting home but what in the hell am i going to do? I still dont feel anything physical. and after more research the average half life of methadone is 33 hours so I believe I will not get anymore physical symptons than I did when I tapered or right now.I think I am just going to have a mental struggle ahead. I can already see myself taking a pill and enjoying a friday night at home although I am not doing it. Just wish motivation was back also.
Thanks

I used methadone for a month to get off norco. Worked great for me too, started at 3 5mg pills a day for a week then down to 2 pills a day for a week then, once a day then a 1/2 a pill a day. I agree with u that methadone gets a name because of how the drs prescribe it, it also works well for pain but I dont know about long term use. Good luck to u!!

Thanks. We will see. I am going to work out. I will tell you, working out, lots of gatorade and benadryl really helped. I can tell I am not normal right now but nothing like what I have read. Much respect to those that went through that and came out on top.
