marijuana has more of a mental addiction that it does have physical wd symptoms, so unfortunately there really isnt a good taper method or wd aid medicines available for stopping smoking bud..i smoked extremely frequently i would smoke about 2 bowls every4-6 hours since turning 18 and I am now 22, turning 23 exactly 1 month from today..i have cut down a little bit, but still smoke just about daily. honestly, the best way to stop smoking bud all together is to do jsut that, its easier said than done, but stop smoking. and within 3 weeks you will be fully normal, your memory will already start o get better, get out of the haze and fog that for so long it was stuck in..If the rebound anxiety is too much a low dose of valium or a similar benzo may help, but i highly doubt you will have many noticeable symptoms. even if you do feel some sort of wd from stopping it will be very mild, the hardest part will be getting over the fact that you will not be smoking again, that is the highest and hardest hurdle to get over. after climbing that you will be in the clear.youll be all good. if you need support feel free to ask any questions or talk about anything, i am always around...let me know how u are doing?.-christos
do expect some physical wd symptoms from this, but the benifits of clean living can be your driving force through this
when i stopped smoking pot i had trouble with anxiety, headaches, and sleeping
and i have to still fight the idea that life would be easier if i could just smoke a joint, i use a 12step program to help me stay clean, its been over 4yrs since i used,
there is a story in the na book "pot head" i will look for it later and send it to you
i do not remeber what page or anything, good luck!!
Are you taking any bipolar medication? If not then go to a psychologist and get some meds. This can also help with the anxiety that the withdrawls may cause you. It is common to get physical leg pains when going off of marijuana. It is not all mental. The leg pains can be treated with just taking Tylenol or Advil. If the pains do not go away with tylenol or advil then just take a muscle relaxant (ex. Robaxacet, Robax Platinum) All of this stuff is over the counter. Most of your pain will be mental. It will go away within a few weeks. Just hang in there.
You won't have any physical w/d's, quitting marijuana is all mental. If you want to quit, just stop c/t. Some have anxiety after and cravings, but when I quit my cravings would disappear after a week or so. It was not as bad as I thought, it takes some willpower and sometimes changing your routine a bit. When cravings for pot come, just stay busy and remember that cravings will pass. There is also a bipolar forum here too, which may help also. Stick around here, it's a great support group. Best of luck.
