I'm sorry you are in such pain, just take the advil and stay the course! Day 4 is GREAT me and Firefaery1023 are right in front of you, you are not alone trust us when we say it gets better with everyday that passes! I hope you get to feeling better and so thankful that your boss is so understanding. Have a great day
Good morning everyone.
Its the start of Day 4. Mentally I feel fine, but I am in so much pain I want to cry. Its not withdrawal pain, its just my everyday pain from the back injury. Yesterday was very hard working with the children. Its a lot of stairs, walking, standing, bending, etc. I disclosed my back condition to my supervisor and she was awesome about it. She told me to do whatever I needed to do to get through the day.
Hubby is being very supportive. I don't have my medication yet, I can't get a refill for another 13 days (and counting). The next 2 weeks are going to be rough, but I don't have a choice. Advil is my best friend.
Thank you everyone and try and have a great day!
You are in my prayers. Working with children would prove to be challenging during wd. You are obviously a very special and compassionate person and that will work in your favor. Positive thinking is worth more than any of us realize...I know it is almost impossible at times, but we are all strong or we would not be here to begin with.
You are fortunate to have your husbands support. My fiance and I are both detoxing from methadone...we were at 110mg in Aug,'07, tomorrow we will take 11mg. So far, so good. Our wd began a few days ago, luckily I had researched heavily and we were referred to a site to order a calcium.magnesium blend. It has made more of a difference than we could have ever imagined. It helps with the mental and physical fatique too. I posted general info about it in my journal - please check it out.
My fiance and I were talking....I wish we were rich....we would send all of you a giant care pack! It is the thought that counts, right? (whoever said that wasn't withdrawing!)
Keep posting and best of luck!
Good Luck! I am glad your husband is holding on to the bottle. My usband is an addict to, so if I gave them to him, he would just take them all. Depending on how much you were taking before, only taking 1 day will still cause you to go through withdrawal symptoms, but they should be more manageable. If you keep from taking them, that would be better because the third day seems to be the worst and then it seems to get better after that.
what are the meds for ... Day three is a great I know you dont feel great but its closer to the light at the end of the tunnel :)
