How come we never believe we are just like everyone else???

Hey all,

Today at 1 PM will be 120 hours.  I am so fatigued today STILL.  I didn't want to believe that this fatigue would truly be THIS bad for THIS long, despite seeing it is a NORMAL part of the recovery from Percocets.

I really need a light here... the withdrawal symptoms (except fatigue and insomnia... the WORST!!) are over, and now it feels like I am just waiting to feel normal... or at the very least a minimal amount of energy to be able to get up and do something.  I think the rainy weather doesn't help, and I am literally going nuts!!

I still don't have the desire to take anymore pills since the last 5 1/2 days have been hell.....  but I can see where this fatigue could lead if it lasts for weeks, or worse, months!!!!

Please, if someone can remind me of the light at the end of this tunnel, I would really appreciate it!! I feel so useless.....

So how long did the fatigue last? How are you feeling now?

I know exactly what you are talking about.  The fatigue is the part I hate the most.  We are in such a hurry to feel better, and it seems to drag on forever.  Keep this in mind....five days is huge.  You should be very proud.  But at the same time, you are so early into this.  When looking at the big picture, 5 days is nothing.  You will feel more and more normal from this day on, but it's going to take time.  I woudln't say that the fatigue will last months, but in my personal experiences, it is the last thing to come back.  Don't let this discourage you....within a few days, you will notice a big change in your energy. Remember to eat right, drink plenty of water, and EXERCISE.  It really does help.

Hang in there...you have done an awesome job so far.  Put on some nice motivational, touching music, and sit and think about why you wanted to quit.  Think about where you want to be in a week, or a month, or a year.  You quit for a reason...never ever forget those reasons.

Take care and God bless.
