45 hours!

Just about done with day 2 and luckily it should start getting dark soon. Dark is my favorite because I sleep on and off thoughout the night and times tends to move faster! All in all I must say I am feeling ok, not as bad as I thought I would be. I am hoping it'll stay kind of like this the rest of tonight and tomorrow but as anyone knows that can all change at any point in time! Really hoping for the best! My symptoms have been lethargy, a little of the RLS, guts hurt, and that's what it's been so far. I have been staying hydrated with Gatorade and even ate some. Praying for a better day tomorrow!

Well I have made it past 48 hours and I am not too too bad, just keeping my mind occupied with mindless tv. Still a little shaky and my hearts a little racy, I am staying hydrated with plenty of Gatorade. I actually got into a vh1 show which was 100 best songs of the 90s! Kept me occupied for a couple of hours. :) I am a whole lot more positive this time and my husband has been helping me tremendously, that I am thankful for. I have to admit it was nice to have my first sober 4th even tho I didn't do anything but lay around on the couch. I appreciate all of your advice and will update you again soon, I am sure I won't sleep tonight so it may be sooner than later! lol!

So happy to almost be done with day 2, my appetite isn't too bad either! I read some posts where people don't have much of an appetite but I always seem to not sure why. I just try not to eat too much so it doesn't hurt my guts anymore than they already hurt. I am starting to get a little shaky which I know it's completely normal but it's hard to type. :-/ thanks for your kind words I appreciate it! Will update everyone again shortly!

Congrats on Day 2!! Almost Day 3! I had just th opposite with my appetite I started eating like a piggy and havent stopped since detoxing. But sometimes a BRAT diet (Banana's Rice Applesauce and Toast) can be soothing to the tummy. Starchy foods help upset tummy-also saltine crackers. Hope you feel better!((hugs))~bkitty

I actually just ate a lean cuisine, not a home cooked meal but it was delicious! When you say round 2, do you mean round 2 of withdrawal? Oh boy! I don't think I can handle another round! Haha!

Haha I could never get sick of you! You always give me great advice and make me smile when I need it! lol! I know day 3 in the past was always the worst for me but I am hoping this time it'll be mild like the last few times! Not going to count on it though as I know everytime is different! I am staying hydrated with Gatorade and water, mostly gatorade, water is blah right now! Haha! I actually ate some chocolate a little earlier but it was not dark, I will have to get some dark! Thank you for your kind words it's greatly appreciated! :)

Hey! I just thought of something! Dark Chocolate!! Seriously! I ate a few pieces, like Dove or Hershey's Special Dark and surprisingly it made me feel better! Don't over do it obviously, but just a few pieces gave me some comfort! Try that and see!

Try to eat more than "some". Although Ensure took a little getting used to, it really helped me. And as I've said before, when your appetite returns, eat lots of healthy food. Get your body nourished. That way you'll be ready for round 2. Keep checking in.

Hi, yes, it's me again! LOL you have got to be sick of me by now! Ha ha! Listen, you are doing an amazing job of posting! This is great and I think and hope it's truly helping you get through this!  So, for me, my detox week was sort of split into 3 segments! But remember, everyone is different! Days 1-2 were ok! I still was able to sleep just had some minor symptoms and anxiety! Days 3-5 were pretty intense with lots of fatigue and anxiety and such! During day 5, I felt like I turned a corner and things were much much better! Also for me staying hydrated and getting up and moving, plus immodium were the best things I used! Stay strong and keep fighting! You are doing so well! Don't know what else I can tell you! You've got it all covered! Just a big hug for now!
