Congratulations on day 5! It will not be too much longer for your body to get back into it's normal sleep routine.  And it is perfectly okay to have a cup of sleepy time tea before bed!:) Bath's are very nice too, with a little lavender.  I have noticed I sleep better with fresh linens and my bed all made up when I get in to it! (And it was always nice to make my bed and do normal stuff, that I had not cared about for so long)...messy bed...messy head, right!?

There are healthy ways to relax yourself that are perfectly okay. You do not have to deny yourself a bath, or a cup of tea. In fact, you deserve it!

Thank you :);) I think a lot of this great mind set is talking with everyone on here! And of course the more sober I feel these last few days ..... Has allowed me to put my thoughts into a better prospective. Like at first I wanted to try to take something to sleep ..... Even if it was like melatonin or something herbal ..... But the more I thought about it ..... It kinda defeats the purpose off sobriety ..... Still keeping a lil of that mind set that I need something at all to help ..... Does that sound ridiculous ???

Gratz on day 5! It's great that you are feeling so optimistic and so thankful. It bodes very well for your success bc what is in your mind, determines your actions. It all starts there, and you have your mind in the right place. There is no doubt, the positive effects of support from those who can truly relate, is invaluable. This site is amazing, and so are the people on it... you included! Keep kicking butt and enjoying all of those things you probably took for granted before you began using. Those things that fall by the wayside as not worthy of our attention in favor of our DOC, can resurface and take on new significance as life's true treasures :)

You have my support!

Thank you :) I'm looking forward to it!! Lol but I jus keep reminding myself that I jus need to rest .... Relax...... And not worry about it. Reminding myself of the helpful tips to relax without having to take anything ..... I don't want to keep that mind pattern of taking something to feel better or get sleep. Even if it's all natural herb or whatever. I jus want my body to do what it needs to on it's own ..... That make sense ????
