6 months clean today.

Question

Well I've been off the board for a bit but I just though I'd check in to say that today is 6 months for me off oxy.  I wish it had been easier but it's still definitely worth it.  I've finally got my anxiety under control now that the Zoloft has kicked in.  The anxiety has become a bigger worry to me than the oxy lately but I've finally turned the corner on that one.

To those of you out there lurking I want to say don't wait.  Just get off the junk whatever it is.  If I could do it anyone can.  It's great to have my "self" back and have a genuine relationship with my family again.

Thank you to all the amazing people on this board who have been my inspiration and guides during all of this.  I literally could NOT have done it without all of you.

Congratulations!!! Whooooooooo Hoooooo. I know it's been a long "not so easy" journey. But you have done well! You should be very proud of yourself..Way to go!!!! I have 6 months comming soon...and 2 yrs off methadone aug 1,..can't wait to yell it from the rooftops..take care ~Lisa

Keep the faith.  As long as you don't look too far ahead it passes fairly quickly.  Keep yourself busy on other interests.

That is so good, I am really proud of you. I can't wait until I hit 6 months clean of Hydros. I am 53 days free of those and 6 months free of the Ambien. Again, that is such good news and I wish you continued good luck
