60 days clean

hello all 60 days clean today.  Back from rehab two days ago.  Good to be back although, I loved being around people who "get" me.  People who have the addict brain that I have.  People who have probably faught this to one degree or another all of their lives as well.  The first thing I did when I got back was kiss my kids then went to a meeting.  I was overwhelmed by home.  Needed those people who "get" me again right away.  I called my sponser right away as well and she met me at the meeting it was great.  The topic of the meeting today was about do things for yourself.  Wow not doing things for myself was most likely the main reason I ended up in despair.  What I could not do for myself was suddenly done for me the day I was fired from my job for drug abuse and thrust into treatment.  My life had become unmanagable and I knew it but did not know a way out.  Sound familiar AA/NA attenders?  Does it sound strange that I may be starting to be thankful for my suffering?  I am starting to find some things out and the instead of the pressure bing on is the pressure acctually being lifted?  I'm not convinced yet, it is just a thought.....Joy
