2 weeks,I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!

Today is 2 weeks for me and I am so THANKFUL!! Two weeks ago today I jumped off the methodone c/t,and so happy that I did. The worst of the physical withdrawl has been gone for a few days. The physical stuff I feel now is minimal compared to the beginning that was really rough. The mental stuff still plays with my head here and there throughout the day,so I do what I can to tough that out.I know in time that will ease up too.I'm so grateful for all of your help,I just can't thankyou all enough. And to anyone out there on day 1 or 2 trust me it does get better every day.Behind every cloud there is a silver lining, sometimes it just takes a while to lift.Peace.

Great job on 2 weeks! I know nothing about methadone except from what I have read on here and have heard it is very difficult to come off of. It takes a very strong person to do what you have done! Just continue to stay strong and keep hanging in there! Way to go on getting  your life back! Best of luck to you!

Thats wonderful!!  I was told that it usually takes around 8 to 21 days to feel half way normal again, for most anyway. Are you getting back your energy? That seems to be my biggest complaint, especially when Im at work, I weigh 110 pounds but I feel as if I weigh 400 pounds, by the time Im done working, it,s all about laying down, as this is the only time I feel normal. Congrats, Penelope

Yea for Kim!!!!!!!!  2 Weeks is a big milestone!  I can tell you from experience, it gets better and better.  If you have a bad day, just take it for what it is and know that it's just a moment in time and it will be better tomorrow!  Keep up that positive attitude and good work!
