norco binge

I'm new here but have been reading a lot of posts so I decided to sign up.. well I have herniated disks and couple other pain issues so I see a pain doc every month. she gives me 120 Norco a month ,I have been seeing her for 4 yrs. I also get injections in my spine , neck , and hip. well for past 2 yrs I have been binging on my med 120 only lasts me maybe 2 weeks. I have read on here that the withdrawl systoms are horrible.. but the only thing that happens to me is RLS( and that's not so bad) and sick to stomach and costant yawnning. ive never had flu like systoms no runny nose, no diarrhea,. I'm not braging just wonder if anyone else does the same . its been 2 days no med, and I feel ok. I really don't wanna stop my meds cuz they help.. who else does this?

Amen all of the above, and once again, our Guardian Angel Vickie brought it home to the most urgent message: free yourself.

Free yourself. Of the thousands of people I have known over decades if going to meetings in multiple fellowships, I have never met a person who regretted getting clean. You can have a life beyond your opiate dreams that will also enrich the lives of others.

You absolutely can do this.

Hi & Welcome!

Great advice from all the above. Stick around and we can help you live a more beautiful life with out pain meds. Many people on here have pain issues that are off the charts, but they have found other things that works better.
These type of med really whack out the Brain Chems. You end up thinking about nothing but that next pill. Free Yourself if you really want to.

Bless

The two previous posts are spot on.
1. You are exhibiting addictive behavior  (Not taking as prescribed)
2. Opiate addiction is progressive and unsustainable.

Hi there. I was on literally exactly what you were on and I used them the same way: 120 lasted me maybe 2 weeks, too. It was hell.

So, may I be straight w/ you? You are describing addictive behavior, but you write that you don't want to stop the meds. Are you looking for withdrawl help? And if so, why, since you plan on staying on your meds?

Everything Gnarly wrote above is true, but it's up to you to be ready. So let us know what you need help with.

Hi  and welcome to the forum....if you want to get clean you came to a great place to do it....it sounds like you have done this b/4 so you know what to expect ....once you cross the line by not taking the meds as prescribed you go from being dependent to addiction ...this is a slippery slop your on here...this is a progressive disease that will only get worst with time  most of our members have wound up this way just like you and most of us cannot use narcotics  on the bright side after some time off you will find that otc stuff starts to work again ...it is up to you but you never have to use again  keep posting for support
