8 days clean and seeing the light!
Hi my sweet friends! Day 8 for me today and slept 5 hours! I will take it! Seems like the first day I am able to also hold a cup of coffee in. It has been a hell of a week but I am so relieved that those opiates are out of my life! I spent many hours on this site the last 8 days and don't think I could've done this without all the support! For all you newbies, there are amazing people here to help you! Quitting cold turkey is doable, I am alive and doing well. Ready to live my life clean and sober! I have a lot of work to do as far as therapy etc to find out why I went to this dark place and I am taking those steps because I deserve a happy life. We all do! I am done punishing myself! That is what I have been doing for years! I vow to stay on this site and help others on their sober journey. I also want to send a special shout out to D. We bonded from day one and formed a buddy system! Our connection was one of the best things that happened to me! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! S, congrats to you too and thanks for always being there for us! MH was a God send!

Congrats seems like your motivation is coming back and your hope which can only mean 1 thing you're getting better just keep it moving and you'll be okay stay strong.

You are just moving forward. I am glad to read that YOU know there is so much more to this process. As the Months and Years go by you just keep on learning more and with that comes good Changes for the best.
We seem to have a connection to the ones that start with us..I have many good friends from here and we all have over a good year or years behind us.
Just keep on trucking forward with a open mind and always have that out side SUPPORT as well. I am very happy for you!

Congrats to the 3 of you on your 8th day!!! For the last week I have watched the 3 of you support each other!!! You all seem to get it and know what you have to do in order to keep it!!!
The posts the three of you have been sharing has reminded me of how strong my resolve was in the early days and has reinvigorated my efforts as I have over 5 moths of sobriety.. I thank you all for the inspiration that you have not only provided me but I'm sure many other (newbies and old timers)... That's why they say "the most important person in the room is the newbie"
Anyway, I wish all of you the best and continued success in your recoveries... Keep it going and keep taking it one day at a time..

I,m doing good climbin got out the house at 8 this morning.run some errands I still have ,nt slept a wink at night yet congrats I got a lttle over 8 days and I,m getting there I actually walk out the door not looking for my pill bottle. I threw that bottle away today. you and m have stayed strong and it made me strong .congrats !!!!!!!!!!!! on 8 keep on keepin on!!!!!!!!
