Addicted, but in pain

Hello,
I've been on norco for about 2 years now.  It started with a knee injury, but now I have been diagnosed with arthritis (I'm only 30!) and a damaged disc.
I've been clean for 4 days now - but my body aches are terrible, especially my back.  I need to strengthen it and I'm going to start physical therapy, but in the meantime, should I taper off the norco or just stay off?  I had to call in sick to work twice, I have no motivation to do ANYTHING and I am in pain.
Suggestions?

Hey there, i am on day 9. day 4 and 5 were the worst for me. sounds liek you're nearing the end of the worst. the pain i have (mouth and shoulder) seemed to be intensified during w/d, but it has eased up quite a bit. Like you, i had no motivation to do anything until day 6. went to the mall and parents house. Day 7 i painted my kitchen! try to hang in there. a few things thay helped me was lots of water, whey protien smoothies, i bathed like every hour and stayed in as long as the water stayed hot and lastly advil around the clock. keep posting here and i hope u feel better soon.
