I don't know about Methadone, Susie but I had the same problem.  I've been on Hydromorphone (Dilaudidi) and Morphine ER postoperatively for knee surgery.  It was so bad that the urine would actually start running down my legs before I could get to the bathroom.  It had started out as OAB (overactive bladder) and got progressively worse. It was a real dilemna because with the post op pain I couldn't move fast, but the urgency required me to move fast.  I'd be fine one minute and the next minute I had to go so bad I couldn't hold it. Finally, the doc put me on Vesicare, but my insurance doesn't cover it so I had to change to Ditropan which was moderately effective.  When I went into the hospital for my knee replacement on July 12, they put me on Oxybutin ER 10 mg every 12 hours. And, I have to tell you the stuff works like magic.  No more problem.  I'm confident that if you get the prescription you will have the same results.  Good luck.  Let me know if it worked for you because I can't see how it would not.

I have to think you are onto something.  I was on methadone for over 1.5 years and my uring flow got so bad, I found myself having to change underwear frequently because of leaks and not completely emptying my bladder.  Just the other day, i noticed that it seemed to be going away and I recognized that I was no longer having to do this.  It has been 27 or so days since I jumped and that is one symptom that i can see a quick difference in since I quit methadone....that and my wallet seems to be swelling a little bit more(smile).
