Hello, my name is Tonya and I have been on here before. I am now 3 weeks clean as of today! I have def been through some stuff in the past 8 years and I finally see now that I am feeling so much better! Of course, I have my ups and downs, but it has not brought me down and won't. BTW, if you haven't heard from me before, I am an recovering opiate addict. I really hope to find some friends on here, support is nice to have!!! Anyone on here from OHIO???

Hi I'm from Ohio.. I started my detox today.. I just posted on this site a few minutes ago.. feel free to go read it.. its pretty long.. bit wanted to give my background and let people know that even growing up normal and in a good family.. that u can still get to this point.. BTW.. congrats girl.. I can't wait till I can get on here and say.. 4 months clean..

Tonya, I am so proud of you. I can totally relate when you say, you would feel so happy inside when you knew you would get more pills. That's exactly how I would feel once I had my refill. I was literally a kid in a candy store. Unbelievable how we lived that way. It's crazy thinking but when your an addict, it feels sane at the time.

I am still doing good. feel so much better to wake up in the morning nmot feeling like crap and wondering how to get the next pill. Thise mornings were soooo awful and I would feel like crap, but as soon as I found out I was about to get some I would be so happy inside!! I think about those times when I feel down now and how much better I feel now and never have to worry about feeling bad like that again. I have so much to do now that I am recovering with my life, but it gives me something to do. I get to save money now and make a better life for m y daughter and I and it feels great!!!

Hey Tonya! I'm Alicia. I too have 3 weeks  ( 22 days to be exact ) sober from oxy's. Congrats on your 3 weeks!! Been struggling with this addiction for many years like yourself. Feels soooo good to be free doesn't it? I've posted on here before, just not lately. I do however lurk around here lol & read all the posts... seems to help me cope... knowing I'm not alone is comforting :)

I was addicted to opiates... Mostly percs, oxys, and methadone. U are doing great too! It feels so good to go another day clean, huh??
