30 Days Clean!

30 days...Hard to imagine, but it's true. Thank you to all on this site who've helped me during my struggle, and in that first week, it was a very difficult struggle indeed. Having abused pain meds for well over ten years was bad enough; but using 8 to 10 Norco's a day for this last year just about did me in. Cold turkey was hell, but it was the only way I could get clean. Any new people - you can do it and it does get better...Much, much better. You will find the support and encouragement you need on this site. A special thanks to Lulu and Vicki; you guys always seemed to pop up whenever I needed a kick in the rear.
I'm off to enjoy today - next up, 60 days.

Thanks and thanks. A couple of weeks ago I printed several pages from my original post on this site, Norco Detox, so if I ever forgot, I'd have a printed record of my time in hell. I just read my "history". Man, what a journey. Going back to the first post I can remember very clearly the emotion and turmoil I was experiencing. Never again.
I appreciate you taking the time to send support. I'm planning my next post to be in about 30 days!

Thanks to everyone...Without your help and support I wouldn't be at this point. My wife commented this morning that the last 30 days went by fast...Then reconsidered as I stared at her with my mouth hanging open. We laughed, and she said that it was probably a bit longer road for me. She can be very perceptive sometimes.
I'll be posting at 60, 90, etc. Sobriety is fun!
