Alternative opiate treatments?

Question

I'm from the UK and why does The NHS (national health service) think Methodone is a solution? I was at first on 12x30mg codeine tabs, now over a 6 year period! I'm on 50mg of Diazapam, 30mg of tamazepam & 120mg of METHADONE!  All of which is taken on a daily consumption.

I've lost my life!! My soul mate and most Important, I've lost the role of being a daddy to my 18month child.  
Methodone is Evil and asked.....no sorry begged not to be put on it but did they listen? Well of course not!!

Please Help, Just wanna be clean and wouldn't mind some medical negligence pay!

I take 80 mg of methadone everyday and I just took 5 10mg valiumes am I gonna be ok

I've read so many stories about people mixing benzodiazepines (Valium-Klonopin-Xanax-Ativan) with methadone and simply not waking up. Keep in mind this is stuff I read on the internet, I would definitely try to seek a second opinion or talk to your doctor about the meds your on. At the very least, it might be unsafe.

We could not possibly know what the laws are in the UK---the majority of members are hailing from the USA. Even then, it is usually state laws so they are all different. I know you are in a precarious position. If there is a private doctor you could consult that may be helpful to you. I hope it all works out and you get through this.

Hi! You are on some very high doses of medications. Def speak to the prescribing physician! On on another note about the med negligence-they can come back and say "Well you didnt have to take the medication but you chose to" There is liability on both parties. I hope your doctor will help you wean off some of these meds. Hang in there ((Bkitty))

Listen, it is most dangerous to take Valium with Methadone. No one here should advise you---please seek professional help for this. I wish you the best. Let us know how you are doing.
