What to expect...

I have been taking Hydros for about 1 year now and about 7 months ago it became everyday.  I have never taken more then 30-40MG a day and have only been on 10 mg a day for last month and 7.5 the last week.  Tomorrow is my last 7.5 and I have weened down about as far as I think I need to, to be able to go CT.  What should I expect?  I work from home which helps so I can be around my family but I just need to know when the physical symptoms get the worst and when they start to go away.  Thanks you for your help and I cant wait to get off these things.

That is about how many I was taking, but for a longer period of time.   I usually took 20 to 30 mg a day.   I never took as much as my doctor prescribed.

Withdrawal for me was about 3 or 4 days feeling like crap.  Kind of nauseous but I didn't throw up.   I also didn't have but one slight bout with diarrhea.  I drank water constantly....and I stayed in bed when I felt bad and got up and moved around or rode my exercise bike as much as I could.   I didn't sleep at all for two nights and then poorly for one night.   Back to normal now.   I took supplements and ate a sort of bland diet...boiled chicken, noodles or rice and steamed vegetables.  A little ice cream once in awhile.

So, I'd say give it a week.   After the 3rd or maybe 4th day, you will feel better.   You may not feel like running a race, but you can do it.   There is so much good advice here and support....but I just wanted to tell you what it was like for me.   Oh, yeah...restless leg syndrome (RLS) can be a problem.   For me, that manifested by being unable to hold my feet still that first sleepless night.

This is completely doable.  You will be so glad.   The time to quit is now.
Don't look back.   Wishing you all the best.
