Anxiety

It is the night of my 11th day off suboxone and I am a little anxious!  I just need to tell myself, "It's ok, go to sleep!"  Sounds corny, but that is what I do and I pray to God that he will help me to fall asleep and he always helps me.  I haven't had more than 5 and 1/2 hours sleep yet.

I am glad that I get that much sleep!!!

I keep going!!!

It will definitely get better. I started taking melatonin the first night and it helped. Are you trying any natural sleep aides?

OOPS! I meant the inhibitors in the antidepressant blocking the re-uptake action of the neurotransmitter of serotonin prevent then from removing excess serotonin, which is why i don't like them. You could accidentally get a serotonin overload which is a bad and dangerous thing.

Still having anxiety problems/ RLS?

Taking your vitamins?   Calcium and Magnesium, along with a protein shake or boost at bedtime helps calm and relax you and helps with sleep.

An amino acid supplement like L-theanine is like natural valium will also help (available at walkmart in the vitamin and suplement section)
Or you can have a few cups of black or green tea before bed. It's the natural source of  L-theanine. You get about 22mg in black, 20mg in green tea per cup. The stronger you brew it the better.

5HTP will help with Anxiety, but don't take it if you are taking a SSRI or trycilic antidepressant. ( has Serotonin re-uptake inhibitors) This causes more serotonin to be available at the receptor site. Too much serotonin can be a bad thing however. The re-uptake inhibitors prevent this, which is why I don't like antidepressants personally.

Hope that helps. Otherwise congrats on making it 11 days now, keep up the good work!
