If this is not the right forum can someone please direct me? My question was can a person take benzos every other day and not get addicted?..nor for me for my elderly mom

Thank you for your comment, my mom just got her prescription for the first time.  I wanted to know if she could avoid getting addicted if she took it every other day or every 2 days.

Benzo's are very addictive...it doesnt matter, Valium, Xanax, Klonopin, etc...

I tried to cold turkey Valium once, and I almost died !!! - After that I tappered slowly off them.

I have read much about benzo's and it only takes 1 month for the body to become dependant for it.

Your MOTHER MUST BE VERY CAREFULL, do not let her try to cold turkey off any benzo...she can have a seizure, coma or die...very dangerous.

If she's only taking it temporarily in low doses, I would still get advise from the doctor. Trust me, and many others in here...you can not c/t off long term use of benzo's without extreme danger.
