Anyone tried switching from Oxycodone to T3s?

I've had chronic back pain and SI joint pain for over a year now.  Started with T3s, then to hydrocodone and then finally to Oxycodone/ Percoset.  Now I have to take upto 15mg or Oxy every 4 hours to get complete relief and I've realized this isn't a way to live.  Yes I have pain, but ice, laying down, walking, relaxing, Neurontic, Diazepam and the T3s seem to have been okay today.  I did have Fentanly patches too and quit those cold turkey.

I'm quitting Oxy cold turkey too. Wondering if the T3s will make the withdrawal easier? I've stopped taking T3s on two occasions in the past without problem at all so.  Anyone tried this approach - did it work for you??? Or am I in for full blown W/Ds tomorrow or soon?

Thanks for listening and advising!

i aggree woth gnarly...no matter what your eventually going to have to suffer some type of withdraw.ive been clean now almost 3 weeks from takin 20-30 30mg oxycodone everyday so i can tell u first hand it might suck but each day gets better and u feel so much better and healthier so i would reccomend starting asap...u can talk to me anytime for support if you need it....if u absolutely need something for the withdraws i would get suboxone but only a 10-12 day supply of it and once its gone thats it...it will help alot...good luck bro dont worry ull make it thru : )

HI and welcome to the forum....well for starters you plan has a flaw in it your treating narcotic addiction with another narcotic...not a good idea the T3 still have codeine in them and I herd you say you dident have a hard time getting off them but addiction is progressive you dont become an addict over night if your addicted to oxycodone your probably going to wind up addicted to the T3s any time you detox you need to quit feeding your brain narcotics you can postpone the withdrawals but you cant get around them sooner or later your going to have to pay the pied piper and suffer thew withdrawals weather it be T3s or oxycodone narcotic withdrawals are no fun... it sounds like you have some experience with this?? ether way will be here to support you however you decide to go off them but if I were you I would just prepare for the withdrawals and go thew it....keep posting for support good luck and God bless...Gnarly
