thanks rose, i am trying different things for my fibro, and lyrica is just so darn expensive. i will have to talk with my doctor about requip, is it pricey too?
I also have fibromyalgia and recently my doctor started me on Requip, which is for RLS. I have to say that it works miracles and it's non narcotic. It does have a bonus side effect and that's it makes you sleepy!! Big Bonus!!
go on line to Pfizer.com, if you can't afford your meds, they will either give them to you at a discount or for free.check it out.
I have fibromyalagia as well and was on lyrica, but couldn't afford the 150. a month it cost to feel the prescrib. as well as my 160. cymbalta, not to mention, the doctors fee monthly. Damn meds, why is it the bad stuff is so cheap, and the non addictive stuff cost so much.
sorry it's Lyrica that i take.
I have RLS, and fibromyalgia and lyrical works great, not a narcotic, not addictive but sure helps calm the legs.
hun.. you likely can't go back down to 3 a day.
it's very, very rare after abusing. pretty much impossible...
please consider quitting altogether...
as for the blood, i had that happen when i detoxed.
please take care of yourself...
warmly,
mj
Hemeroids would be bright red blood ... like really really red ...
I hope you taper a bit slower ... and then it'll be better for you.
Love and healing,
Emily
Let us all know if it really works......I have heard this too. I am really curious. I have never had RLS so I don't know what its like, and I don't think i want too.
Hope you get some sleep....
Luv,
Nauty........
I am so glad you told me that. I have the worst case of RLS at night and it keeps me up. One night I actually thought I would od on sleep medicines because of the RLS. I shake my legs all day long, even on pain killers, now it is worse going through the withdraws. People have always asked me if I was nervous and I would reply, no I am just the TYPE A personality and my body goes goes goes all day long. But, the shaking has gotten really bad over the past few months, that it makes my RLS really bad at night. Thanks for the tip. I am definitely going to try this.
You are welcome, we've all been there believe me. Also I just read somewhere where if you put a bar of soap under your fitted sheet at night it helps with the legs aches and the RLS stuff. I just read it never tried it, but the people on that thread swear by it. Hey anything is worth a try!
thank you, extre and band.
i am not sure. But i would definetly tell your doctor if it happens again. hope everything is ok. let us know!
Immodium AD works wonders, I had savage diahrrea with blood and all I wasn't worried figured it was par for the course. I'm telling you Immodium workds wonders, double the dosage printed on the label. It also simulates opiates but somehow doesn't pass into the brain. But it helps your overall disposition I found.
The thing that scares me the worst is, it is dark, so I am waiting until the next one, and if it happens again, I think I will call the doctor. Nothing serious can happen in a day right?
I am by no meens a doctor but i do remember hearing that as long as the blood is red its not an internal thing. Probably hemorroids like worried had said. If the blood is brown or black in color then it is an internal thing, like from stomach or something, and thats when you definetly have to see your doctor. Dont quote me but like i said i do recall hearing this in the past. Gross topic but hope i eased your mind a bit.
I think that you did taper way to fast. Like was said above its to trick your body so that you dont have crazy WD's !!! I have been told by my doc that the best way to do it is a pill a week thats the safe way. I know that it takes longer but in the long run it just seems better to me that way. Some are strong enough to CT and I envy them. Hang in there remember the Imodium! it helps so much
If u have been having the runs alot...u could have some small hemmeroids or irritation that is bleeding...if it is alot of blood i would get checked...immodium does wonders tho..liquid works the fastest..be sure and drink plenty of fluids...if u are having those kind of symptoms it may be time just to jump off the pills completely and get the wds over with...i would hate to go back up on my dose and start tapering again..and it may cause u to lose motivation to quit...good luck and hang tight
that *****! been there, done that. TRYing to do it again.... down to 7 instead if 12-15 a day. a bit better!! you can do it. ***** that the withdrawals start before you're even completely off the damn pills.. I noticed my pupils were pretty dialated this morning when I woke up. good luck!!!!
try dropping your dose to half a pill or even a quarter every week or however you are doing it......explosive diarrhea....lol. I'm sorry to laugh, but I did when I read it. Been there, brought back some real fond memories.....Not !
Slooooww down there little brakeshoe.........you can do it.
Luv,
Nauty.....
Yes....the stomach issues are horrid! Sorry you are going through it. But think of it as your body getting all that junk outta there!
Hopefully it will get better soon!
Thank you. I was starting to panic. I hate these stupid pills, and just wish I would have never gotten addicted. I guess in my mind, if I can get it back to 3 a day, I will be fine, and then in a couple of weeks I can stop completely.
Hi Girly-I am not a doctor but my guess is that you've tapered way too much. The general idea of tapering is to do it gradually enough so that you trick your body into not realizing anything is different. If it is out of the question to see a doctor, get some immodium and take a hot bath. Maybe some juice or clear fluid to calm your stomach. And try not to panic. We've all been there...
Explosive diarrhea is very common. Blood, I don't think so. If it was a small amount, see what happens, if it was a lot, go to ER
