Well what mg are you on? Your Doc could always give you the smallest dose and see how that works If not, try some holistic approaches. There are quite a few.
The German Commission E recommends the use of Hops herb for discomfort due to restlessness or anxiety and sleep disturbances
Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata)
This is a non-addictive sedative that relaxes the nervous system. It is especially helpful for nervous disorders such as heart palpitations, anxiety, convulsions, epilepsy, insomnia, and stress.
Thee are alot of good natural remedies on the net.
Good luck! : )

If you have addiction issues I would suggest avoiding the benzos...it's a slippery slope.
Go see a naturopathic doctor. Lots of people have panic attacks because there bodies are depleted of trace elements or their pH is off or other things that most of us never think about.
Good luck

I ask because I have panic attacks but can't trust myself on them . Honestly have never seen anyone who could take without running into some kinds of problems.
Sure there are. You are on a Substance Abuse Addiction forum. But your question can be answered in one of two ways:
There are people that will abuse benzos for the high, and the way it makes your mind and body "chill". They have no problems with anxiety or psychoactive issues. A lot of them also never have any problems with lasting effects. Or so they think......
And there are people like me, who have panic attacks, and also need them for detoxing. I take Xanax on a regular basis. I haven't ever had any bad repercussions physically or mentally by taking them.
The different Benzo's are like shopping in a shoe store...there are way too many to choose and you always want more than one pair:
* alprazolam (Xanax)
* bromazepam (Lexotanil or Lexotan)
* chlordiazepoxide (Librium)
* clonazepam (Klonopin)
* diazepam (Valium)
* estazolam (ProSom)
* flunitrazepam (Rohypnol)
* flurazepam (Dalmane)
* lorazepam (Ativan)
* lormetazepam (Loramet)
* mexazolam (Sedoxil)
* midazolam (Dormicum)
* nitrazepam (Mogadon)
* oxazepam (Serax)
* temazepam (Restoril)
* triazolam (Halcion)
* clorazepate (Tranxene)
Peace
Are you asking if someone can get 'hooked' on them?
