Thanks for your comment. I am currently experiencing light tingling sensations. I know them all too well. It is the same feeling as the difficult part was, only a mild version of it. It seems so strange to me that this would happen after months and months of taking nothing, but my Dr. was not at all surprised. At the same time, he didn't confirm that the Tramadol is stored in the body (as I had previously heard).
I'm sure I will be fine, since this is quite mild, but the most frustrating part is not being able to obtain any really good info from the Medical Professionals regarding this drug. That's why I am hoping to connect with others that are having long term side effects from withdraw. I know there's lots of them out there...
Thanks for listening

First, I'd like to welcome you to the forum. I'm sure you'll find many compassionate, supportive and knowledgable individuals who are more than happy to offer advice and guidance.
I also was treated with Tramadol for about 5 years for chronic pain. When I stopped taking it, I suffered terrible side effects for about 14 weeks, afterwhich I seemed OK, but started a different treatment, so I can't be certain the all of the effects of withdrawal had dissipated.
My guess, however, would be that you have overcome all the physical withdrawal symptoms, which aren't supposed to exist and now may still have a psychological tie to the drug.
As an interim measure a mikl sedative such as .25 mg of Xanax at bedtime might be useful.
Discuss your concerns with your mental health provide(not a GP) and get his/her advice.
I'm sure this will pass, but how long it will take is another matter, since it varies from one individual to another.
Good luck to you and let us know how you're doing.
