Hi There,

Opiate withdrawal is no picnic, that's for sure.  Check out the Health Pages in this site and look for the PAWS info.  I recommend you read all of the info and keep posting.  Aftercare is extremely important especially during the 'trigger' times.  My main aftercare was this site and exercise.  Exercise, along with diet, kept me straight for over 2 years now.  I also had to take meds again for a messed up knee and I was quickly able to stop using those when no longer needed.

Keep Going & Keep Posting

hi, welcome here !!

we have at the health pages the amino acid protocol ( bottom right side ) maybe you can find some good tips there...

these legs twitches are the last from the physical wd's to go ...i was desperate with them. There are some stuff you could take to help you with them..."hylands restful legs" (OTC) a magnessium+calcium suplemment is also a "must" here plus eating bananas because they are rich in potassium ( or apple juice ..)....and take long hot baths ( with epsom salts )

as for the depression and the lack of energy... each one of us is different and it took me some time to feel better and so but there is  a progression from now on, slowly but a progression... trust that this too shall pass !!!.... eat a rich protein diet ( whey protein shakes.. veggies, meat ) and try to exercise even if you don't feel like it ...start with walks ( you'll help with the endorphines )

wish you start feeling better and stay here... you can learn from other posts what others are doing and about our addiction...it's a good place to find and give support , yeah.

good luck and congrats on your 12 day ! :)

Hey OMG, I'm jimi =0) You have been on opiates for over a year and a half thats a pretty long time your saying your taking 17 - 20 pills a day but telling telling us how many mgs or what type of pills you are taking?. If your starting to be able to sleep your over the hill and on your road to recovery stay Strong, stay Determined and you will get rid of that wretched demon (addiction) I say in about 3 months you will start to feel so much better now 3 months may seem like a long time but it is so worth going thru 3 months of what seems like hell to get your GOD given Life back. Yesterday june 6th was my 10th year anniversary Free from the a nasty vicodin/methodone dependency and I'm telling you it is so worth getting your Life back =0)

                                                          Prayers, and Blessings
