I agree with Mike and Climb on this.
I know alot of ppl who smoke it and everyone of them says it is not addicting, for them anyways.
And honestly, I would much rather be doing this than being on Xanax or Valium for a short term thing.
To each his own I suppose.
I learned the first week of detox through NA, that alcohol is considered a drug?
If that is the case, I relapsed my first week. I do not agree with this.
If smoking is helping you get through w/d's, then by all means, go ahead.
Yeah I agree Climb... It's legal in alot of places and tolerated in many more, especially in Europe. And if it helps or if you think it helps then overcome your addiction by any means!
Ive never read anything about it being physically addictive, and it is definately illigal in North Carolina, but so is abusing prescription drugs. It seems to be working for ME. I just wanted to share because if it helps to beat a terrible illness (opiate addiction) than thats a good thing.
And i will correct one thing I said.... 'it helped' .... I don't really have anythin to compare it to but I got through my rough physical wd's ok at the end for slot of reasons.
I can agree that it doesnt 'require' it for some people domino ... Depending on what and how much they were taking of their DOC.... but if I had to choose between taking a Xanax/Valium (which I've never taken before but which seems to be prescribed quite often in detox) or smoking , I would def choose the latter. It helped. I'm def not saying someone who never smoked should start and I think people understand that. If it's just about the legality of it ...it depends where in the world you live. If it's about addiction to it ...it depends on which professionals u ask
Getting clean requires no use of any mood altering drugs.
