Cabin Fever & lil update

how many of us have Cabin Fever?? omg i swear I am going to go insane if spring doesnt get here like REAL SOON! we get like 2 or 3 snowstorms a week here it seeems and i'm so sick of it! we had a helluva ice storm yesterday here which ended up turnign into 5 more inches of snow on top of the ice overnight, and now weathermen are already yapping about another bad storm coming friday again! Im ready to rip my hair out! I want to be able to get out and enjoy the outdoors without getting soaked and freezing! Ive been cooking myself to death lately since Im so cooped up in the house! Tonight Im making a huge pot of homemade spaghetti with venison, fresh mushrooms, sautteed onions and garlic in the sauce, cheesey garlic bread, salad and leftover cake! THankfully my kids are very active and have fast metabolism or else they'd be very overweight I think, lol.  They musta got that from me. Im one of those freaks that can eat like a horse and not gain a pound. Im sure that will change as I get older though. ANyways, Im babbling here again, as usual, sorry about that. Im just so tired of being cooped up and having storm after storm here!  BTW a lil update on me- my injuries are healing quite well. My hand is still "broken" of course but since the bones are so small in the  thumb and hand i think they heal faster than say an arm or leg (duh) so I can do a lot more and Im also not using any pain pills at all for it anymore. The husband situation...well...after an initial rocky start after I first came back home here, things improved once more and have been OK. No more horrible fighting (Knock on wood). We still have tons of issues to work through and I Have no idea if the marriage will survive or not. I still have a lot  of grievances with him, alot of hostilities and unresolved issues. He is however improving with his anger control, talking things out more, and has vowed to not be controlling (he even said he's not gonna force me to quit smoking, ha). Anyhow thats about it from here for now. Sorry this got so long. I cant ever seem to make a short post.

How do you people live in the cold weather. OMG, I would be depressed all the time. I feel for you. I would truly go nuts. I die here and its only cold a couple of months or so.

I am all too understanding of cabin fever.  I had not come out of my house before Oct. (one time then) of last year, since a year before that.  From Oct. to Dec. I got out about half a dozen times, and since January, I'm happy to say it's been more and more frequent.  Between pain, w/d, stress, and illness, lookin' at the four walls can be a major bummer for me, and not do a thing to help with my coping.  I got out for a few hours yesterday 'cause I had to, and then made a non-had to trip afterwards.  It poured rain the whole time, and was quite dreary here yesterday.  The whole trip damn near killed me physically, but, as I was draggin' my leg behind me, my girls and I laughed at me the whole time.  We head-bobbed to the music the whole back to and from, and since I've got to go out again, despite what it'll do to me as far as bodily damage is concerned, I'd rather have my mind sane from giggling at this point.  

Can I have some food?  I've been starving and eating like a pig.  You should've seen the contents of the grocery cart my youngin' was pushing last night.  A fine assortment representing the four main food categories indeed!  Neon sour (fruit flavored) gummy bears, Cinnamon bun coffee creamer representing the dairy, as well as the Oreo pie, Entenman's cinnamon buns (bread group right there), and rare roast beef.  This of course, is only a tiny sampling of what looked like a big-time PMS basket of goodies.  I actually have real food in the house, but we were jonesing for some not-so-real-food last night.  Oh, and how could I forget, I got eggs too......Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs!

Yes I do have the fever but its the other kind. I'm in California with the sun shinning but cant get around after the umtenth surgery to my foot.  Hang in there the sun will be there soon.

Nor can I make a short post!  I guess we just have a lot to say!  Although I am not experiencing weather as severe as you, it is still cold and yucky...we are thinking spring...and all the hope that comes along with it,  What a great time of year.
Glad to see your post.  I wish all the best for you and your husband, if it is meant to be your issues will begin to resolve.
Best of luck and congratulations on your accomplishment, you have a lot of time under your belt...I am anxious for that day.
