Thank you! To everyone who's words of encouragement, advice, success stories, etc. that helped in my courage to tell my boyfriend of my methadone struggle! He was amazing, and it went better than I ever expected! I am so blessed.... I have gotten through road block#1....and am ready for my taper plan to come to an end! I will listen to my body, and win this fight! Thank you all!!! And i'll be in touch!! Huggs!!! Julie

Yes thank you! I've felt so much less stress just since I told him! I am now feeling fine on 7.5 mg I will soon be breaking a 5mg half in 4 and be taking around 6 mg. Its a lil harder to be precise with the 10mg pills ya know? But I am def listening to you and my body! I am out of town right now, but I will definetly be in touch! Thank you!

HEY Julie im so happy it all worked out with your b/f and you got him on board it will be a big help.....hows your taper going for you???...the one I gave you was the one I used and it seamed to work well for the most part....just remember to let your body be the final judge in tapering...a few extra days makes all the difference sometimes if you get a chance

Again, I cant thank you guys enough! I dont know that i would have found the courage to get through this first road block without the help of this site! He is the best, and it went better than I EVER could have imagined! I cant wait to taper, and be the best ME that I can be! We will be out of town for his b-day for a couple days, but we have a better relationship because of this, and I thank each & every one of you for your words & prayers! Take Care! Hugs!! Julie

Good for you....I am sure that was a hard step to take, but in the long run it will make the relationship better....a true test.  I look at my wife everyday and thank the stars for her patience and understanding.  I will never forget what she has done for me, and I am sure you will feel the same about your husband.  I think true love is realized in the most difficult situations, not necessarily the happy walks in the park times, but those are not bad either.

Julie~  That's great!!   A huge burden has just fallen away from your shoulders... You're
going to do fine now.  You're relaxed and your head is in a good place. That makes a huge difference in how things will go !!!
