Clean 5 months

Last time I was 5 months clean I screwed up and used, needless to say it turned into 5months of using. I have learned my lesson. Question is ..I am at 5 months and a week and the cravings have come back with a vengeance. Not giving in but was wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I was good and not craving for 4 1/2 months and now it is all I think about, was on Vic's and perc's. for some reason I suddenly want adderall as a substitute.

Great advice above! Dont give in...I like to look at the cravings as "tests"....and to me, keeping your sobriety means a lifelong guarantee of having to pass these tests. Each one gets easier and easier and it makes you feel so good about yourself each time you pass :)

Keeping yourself busy helps immensely...occupies your mind. Finding new hobbies and attending meetings are a great way to keep busy :) Good luck and hang tight!

hi....i think the cravings will come and go for awhile....i'm at almost 5 months and i still get them from time to time...but not that much thank God....i still get a little anxiety as well but not as often as the first month clean.  Just stay strong....you have come so far!  You don't want to go back.
