Clonodine withdraw bad doc

I'm 56y/o with high bp. It was close to 200/110 before mess. They put me on a bunch of different pills I've had adverse reactions to everything. A few days ago I was on .6mg clonodine and 40mg lisinopril. (Sorry spelling). I've been taking clonodine since the end of October, two weeks ago dr bumped me up to .3mg in morning, .3mg at night(clonodine). Last Wednesday I went to the dr with a horrible rash on my hands, face, and private area, he told me my bp was 138/80 (I didn't see the machine) and said to take .3mg clonodine Friday and Saturday then stop taking it. It's Sunday now and I'm going through withdraw really bad. My bp was 198/107 this morning. I'm terrified. Cold sweat, tightness in neck, general awful death like feeling. I just took .3mg of clonodine because I just read that you shouldn't stop cold turkey please help can I detox this **** out of my system to stop the withdraw?

I hope this worked out for you. Generally for a BP problem, you would want to taper.

its better to taper .I've stopped CT..a lot people do, some that go to jails or prisons stop CT. your blood p is going to be high. Though that's why the clonidine, also the clonidine helps with your withdraws. when your bp goes up and stays up over a week or more then its more a concern. but yes if you bp goes to 220/110 its time to get looked at..WD,S is like having a storm inside your brain. Really your in the eye of the storm. You wont make it in the full blown storm..i missed what med your coming off of..i,m tapering perx now at 12.5mgs I get to 2.5 or 5mgs I will jump off..

Hello & Welcome!
First I do not understand why he would have you on 2 bp meds at once. I talked to my heart Dr about the clonidine they gave me for my 3meds that I c/t back in 2012. He said it works a bit different then the bp meds for high blood pressure. I am going to have him explain this better when I see him. Have you ever had them go up into your heart to make sure those small vessel around the heart are not blocked?? The BP med does have adverse reaction for many and this is why you got to keep trying new ones until you find the one that works.
When I went c/t off my 3 meds back in 2012 they think I had a silent heart attack. This just blew me away because I was thin, ate very healthy and exercised. I worked so hard to come off of drugs or street drugs only to have to take a couple of heart meds. I do not have high BP and that was the strange thing. Ended up with 2 stents and it changed my life for the good & bad. I HATE these meds. Sometimes it just take so long for it to kick in and work right. How is your DIET?? Are you taking tons of Q-10 and Fish Oil. Even some of the Amino Acids are good for the heart. I have been working on all the things to eat so I do not have to keep doing these meds, even if I am lucky to only have to take plavix and a beta-blocker. Diet, Exercise and Oxygen is what we need. Powerful Antioxidants are good too. I get all these news letter from heart Dr that try to help you do this without all of these meds. Most hate the Statin drugs, as they really make you sick. Well I sure hope I understood your post right.
As far as the detox..YOU must go over this with the DR. This is serious and we are not Drs, nor know your health issues. Just tell him you can not just stop these meds and would like to have a taper plan set up. I do wish you all the best. I pray your heart is OK! Diet right and you will be SO surprised how it can lower your BP, Cholesterol, Diabetics, and so forth.
Take good care of YOU!
Bless
Vickie
