Codiene Phosphate

Hello,
I have been taking codeine 10/500 3 time s a day or in a 24 hour hour time frame for three months for pain .I want to stop them now will I have withdrawals from that small amount ?I have never gone over taking 3 per day .I was on Norco long term over 6 years and tapered off of them .I started the Codiene doctor prescribed but I am hoping that it wont be as bad as going off the Norco ?Happy Holidays to you all here .

Hi,I started Codeine about one week later because of pain issues .I feel like I can manage now using Advil ,ice and heat for the most part now . It has been 12 hours since my last codeine and so far nothing much is happening aside from some minor bathroom issue . Crossing fingers and saying prayers that it goes better this time .It was hell getting off the Norco and I do not want to chance getting hooked on codeine .Thank you for the reply being Christmas Eve I wasnt expecting many answers .Merry Christmas to you .

Hey Friend,
everyone is different but I say chances are terrific that you will not suffer like you did with the Norco. Statistically you shoul dhave some RLS and sleepnessness and the stomach issues, but after that the mental stuff won't be as intense and not last near as long.
How long were you off the Norco before starting the codeine?
hugs,
Lily
