Cold turkey

We are going cold turkey form doing ten 10mg325mg Norcos. We both feel like hell, but now are strait for 24hrs. We will welcome any encouragement that you could share. Pete and Donna in Texas

Congrats on 24 hours!  I know that's hard.  I bought the valerian root and melatonin and they REALLY helped calm me down.  I found that having a very strong determination helps immensly because it make you plough threw the tough moments.  Also, i've said it a hundred times, move as much as possible because sarah is right the more you move the more your endophines make you feel better, so force yourself up and out.  Walk, up and down the stairs, anything to get your heart rate up.  If you go through the posts here you can read my journey and hopefully it can help you, i was taking 30 norco's a day!!  This site is a lifeline for me and it will be for both of you too!  GOod luck, take the herbals and move!!!!

Hi and welcome to the forum.   Congrats on 24 hrs clean!!  The wd's are tough but you both can and will get thru it.  Make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids and get up and move around as much as you can.  Gotta get those natural endorphins working again.  Eat bland foods during this also.  Are you taking any vitamins?  If you are achy take warm showers or baths.  Immodium is good if you have the runs.  Have you thought about any aftercare?  That is very important.  Stay positive, listen to music and sit in the sun......There is a life out here with your names on it~~~~~sara
