Ditto the above posts 100%! Coming off Klonopin (Clonazepam) abruptly is dangerous. Have him seen ASAP, in an ER if necessary! Update us when you can!
I agree with ariley above. He needs to be evaluated by a doctor as soon as possible. There is no way to know what's going on with him other wise. Can you put in a call to his prescribing physician? Is it a psychiatrist? If not he could use a psych evaluation. If he gets really worked up and you feel threatened you could call 911 and they will take him to the hospital. Don't put yourself in danger dear. Be vigilant and see if you can get him to the doctor.
Hi there and welcome! Sounds like your husband needs to be evaluated by a doctor. Is your husband still taking the Clonazapam? If he stopped suddenly after 8 years of use, that might be the cause of his hallucinations. (And it can actually be dangerous to stop this type of med. without slowly tapering down.) If not, do you know what dose he takes? And how many times a day? Does he abuse them? (Take more than prescribed, run out of his meds early each month, etc.) Sorry for all of the questions. It just helps us to get a better understanding of the situation. Please keep posting. We are here for you. This is not your fault. Try to take his outbursts towards you with a grain of salt. He obviously has something serious going on.
