I don't know if whatever service your BF is going into would allow him to go to bootcamp knowing he is on subs. If your plans were to take the subs up until the time he went in I think that would be a mistake because w/d from subs is far worse than from vics. Also as I said before going through w/d itself is hell, doing in bootcamp would be even more horrible.
IMO it would be better to get the w/d over with at home going CT than in an environment where you would be subjected to long hard days of very physical activities and mind games. If your BF is going to Marine bootcamp multiply it by 5. So I would talk to your doctor and advise him you would like to try CT and could he help both of you through it. Also 18 days is plenty of time to get through it and I'm sure he would be thankful he did. God Bless you both.
We were going to the DR. on Monday for Subs. not pills...do you think we should or is that worse and going cold turkey is better?
Second, if your boyfriend is going to bootcamp in 18 days he should quit now. If you do get some pills now and he takes them before bootcamp he will only be prolonging the agony. Being in bootcamp is 8 weeks of hell without going through w/d just image the pain it would be in active w/d. Not only that if he is found to be an addict once in the service he will be discharged and possibly prosucuted. so he needs to stop now. It would be a shame for him to start his service this way. So you both need to think about it. Your BF may be able to delay his report date ubtil he is clean. I wish both of you good luck and hope you take my advice.---Rick
