Thank you. Everyone on here has been very helpful and inspiring. This site has helped me so much. Helped me stay somewhat sane when I felt I was losing my mind.
Good :) this is not easy.... you will face some challenges in the future, ... most of them emotionally,...look out for stress situations and find a way to relax daily, don't keep inside any stuff, deal with whatever you have to face....pls ... and ask for help, don't give up, ask for help, go to meetings, do whatever you need to guard your recovery, as Sarah says, your sobriety is the most precious thing now and for ever cause it is the first time you are being your best friend to yourself and the best love you can show to yourself and then the world... congrats on your clean time !!!!!
Thank you. I will pick some up. And I do keep telling myself that and looking forward to being healthier than ever.
Take some protein shakes and bars with you when you are on the road :)... this way you will cut down your junk food intake if you drink or eat one of them before stopping cause you will not be hungry... and keep walking, feel proud cause you are saving your life !! this is what i always repeat to myself then and now whenever i feel down/tired or whatever
Thank you. I will pick some up today. I've been trying to eat healthy, light stuff. Appetite is getting a little better than it was. I'm on the road with my bf who is a truck driver and it's so hard to eat right but I know that it can make a huge difference in the way you feel.
i forgot the whey protein shakes, they are full of aminos and they hel too now ( and they have vitamins too )
For the next three months after detoxing i took a good vitamin complex plus vitamin C and vitamin B's...And i still take Vitamin C ( not daily but 3/4 times a week during the winter) ..also, please, try to eat as healthy as you can... there is a lot of good advices on the health pages about nutrition after detoxing ( bottom of the page ) It really helps ! Good luck and congrats on your 5th day, 6 today..... hang in, things do get better ( and get worse and better and worse and better until you are out of the bushes ;)
