20 days into sub withdrawl

Im 20 days into my sub withdrawl after stopping cold turkey from about 4 mg a day......... my doc said with the dose I was on it would be about four days and then I would start feeling better. Ha.... biggest line Ive ever heard and it angers me to no end that these "doctors" don't know $%&@ about getting off this stuff! I was on sub for four years and started at 24mg/day using it to come off of a wicked oxy addiction. Istill haven't been sleeping and if I get a little sleep I have wicked nightmares and wake up with the worst anxiety! Im climbing the walls here but don't have the energy or mind state to get outside..... just wondering has anyone noticed a difference after hitting the 30 day marker? Everyone is different I know Im just going through this pretty rough! I cant imagine what this stuff does to the inside of your body!?

Hey there, congratulations on 20 days off Subs, great job !!!!

For me, i had no energy or motivation till i was almost 4 months clean off Subs..

It wasnt like that everyday, but most days it was.
I believe i was about 6 months when i had good days outweighing the bad.

Im almost a year off Subs and i have no depression or anxiety and my thoughts are not racing, it took me about 6-7 months to feel mentally better because of extreme anxiety.
As long as you are getting 7-15 mins a day of sun on your arms and face, this will keep your vit D levels up, which helps to stop depression and aide energy and stop confusion and thoughts.
Iron Levels are very important because they are the main reason for loss of energy and fatigue.

I was on 32mg a day and jumped with no withdrawals. My problem was the sluggish feeling, like i weighed a ton, i couldnt clean for 4 months and i have 3 kids.

But today, im blessed i completed the sub program, it got me clean and im focused on my life.

The first 3 months are maybe the most difficuilt and the time drags, but you never have to worry about the stress of detoxing again.

If you dont force yourself to get up each day, it becomes harder and harder.
Energy wont come unless you force it.

Alot of people worry about when they will be better, but riding through it and accepting this is a long process, makes it a hundred times easier.
Good luck to you.

I jumped off of subs in january, 2014. Was on them for 7 years at 24mg per day. I did a **** taper not realizing u really need to taper correctly in order to not w/d. One big, giant, thing i want you to hear....your almost freakin there! Dont give in to it now! I swear to u i started feeling a difference around 3/4weeks....so you are literally almost there! Subs take a long time to come out of your system (i didnt know that either!!!) And your totally right, these drs have no ******* idea what they're doing!!!!
Epsom salt bathes, l-tyrosine (gnc) for amino acids, are u still ******** tapioca??? Take the Immodium! Sub w/ds suck but u r sooooo close.....while your laying there, with nothing to do, make aftercare plans. Stay away from caffeinne as they make those anxiety waves alot worse!
Keep posting.....i love to see people beat this crap!

I'm 37 days off oxy.  I know it isn't the same drug you're on, but w/d's are w/d's.  I was also told that my symptoms would feel significantly better after 3 days, 5 days, etc.   They didn't.   I turned a small corner on day 16, but I'm still not my normal self.

Pulse racing, cannot sleep AT ALL.  I was taking Trazodone for sleep, but it wasn't worth it...vivid nightmares and pounding heart---YUK.

I'm sure someone will jump on here with some better advice for you...I just wanted you to know someone is here...

Warmly,

-Robin
