Day 12 - Rescheduled Appointment

I had my rescheduled appointment today and it actually went pretty well.  The doctor was somewhat incredulous that I had stopped and when I told her that I had quit cold turkey she thought I was pretty crazy.  Asked me why and I told her the truth...  I wanted to remember the pain of what it was like to come off of it so that I don't ever go back.  She was a little surprised by that, but its the truth.

From there we got to talking about alternative medicines that I can do for pain and she put me on an old med called Trilisate, which is like an older brother of Celebrex, etc...  She was very cool about the switch, although she told me she wished I had called to tell her that I was going to do it.  Oh, well...  Can't please them all and I'm only here to please myself and my family right now.

Talk to you soon...

Matt

I tried Celebrex, it's been awhile,  I have never heard of Trilisate, will look into it.
I decided to go back to my pain specialist to do the same and to let it be known on my record,  just because I don't want to leave this hanging with the dr. & clinic, now that I have been clean nearly 4 mos..  I might mention this to him but I really don't want to be obliged to continue going there as it is far for me to travel. And I am sure my husband will not want me to go back, I haven't mentioned that I made the apt. to him, it has taken nearly two mos. to get in to see him.(July 7th)
Am glad you are doing so well and I hope your new med works out great for you too.
Best wishes

Ella
