Day 4 Great nights sleep

Good morning all. I am on day 4 with no pills. day 3 using Suboxone. I woke up feeling no need for anything. No cravings no nothing. Just a new morning. I have been reading alot and I think I will continue on the suboxone for a little while and work on why I started the pills etc... in the first place. Thanks again for everyones support,(especially you Jackie!).
Have a great day and for those just starting out too, stay strong and believe. You can do this.
Randy

Randy,

You are going down the right path.  Listen to what Sara said.  Work on the mental part.  The suboxone will help and allow you to do that without the acute withdrawal pain right now.  I went down the same path myself and it was a true lifesaver for me.  Withdrawing from suboxone is not easy when using it long term, but it is much better than continuing to use and relapsing.  Don't hesitate to keep going down the path you are and keep posting.  I am here for you and so are so many others here on Medhelp.  You will make it Randy, I am confident.  S

Randy,

Congrats man, excellent start to your recovery. The cravings will become even less, as each day goes by. Your attitude is fantastic, so I will challenge you to stay active, take walks, lots of fresh air.
Keep drinking the electrolytes, taking the vitamins, and following all the great advice I'm sure you have been given.
Be strong, and keep it going.

Thanks you two. Hope can really do something for a guys attitude... lol. I am so glad soo many people stuck by me through my journey. It isn't close to being complete, but I know I can do it, and honestly this board helped me more then the therapist/psychologist and meetings. I couldn't possibly express my gratitude enough!
Thanks all,
Randy

You sound SO positive Randy.  Attitude is huge in this battle, as you know.  I recall your anxiety and anger just a couple of short weeks ago.  So excited for you.  Holding you close in my prayers.

Sarah,
That is my plan. I want to do the best I can at staying at a very low amount of suboxone, because it seems to work well for me and when it comes time to taper off of it I will be able to take my time and taper slowly from a small amount. Thanks Randy

Work on the mental part of this and when you feel you are in a good place then think about tapering down.  Take it one day at a time~~
