Day 4 WD off Norco, took tramadol for help?

Is it "ok" to take a Tramadol to help with WD from Norco?  I am at the end of day 4 CT from 5 to 10 10mg Norco a day and I am feeling HORRIBLE.  I am reading all of these horrible things about Tramadol and wondering if I am prolonging the WD or will it just help to get me through?  YES, I have been here b4 but never made it 4 days CT.  The GOOD news is that I have no pills in the house and no refills.  That is a first for me in 5 years!  I am loosely following the Thomas recipe as I am home with 2 small children and am only taking the Valium at night to sleep not during the day.  I must say that an overly active 4 year old and an 18 month old are tough to handle when Mommy is sick.  ;-)

You are doing great and you are almost over the hump .....No one ever means to get in trouble with a subsatnce but it happens .Thats why its best not to start.Give it a few more days and I promise you will start to feel much better :) good luck

Yes I did, but I was asking about Tramadol for pain as well as WD.  I have been working really hard at the gym and with  PT and am feeling better chronic pain wise.  The other times I have tried to stop the Norco the nerve pain came back with a vengeance.  This time is different as I feel the neck pain and back pain has subsided to a manageable level.  I am taking Lyrica at night (nerve inhibitor) which has been great!  As you know, the WD's are nasty and I have had this bottle of Tramadol lying around for months.  I took ONE yesterday and it really helped subside the headache and chills.  After reading more posts today it seems that day 5 is a turning point for a lot of people.  Tomorrow will be day 5 and the longest I have been off of Norco for 14 months.  I by NO MEANS plan to begin taking the Tramadol, I just need to function with the kids through these WD's.  I really feel like I am doing great.  Strong in mind.....
