i wouldnt have been able to do this without the board. I def have cravings (that little voice that says just get 20 pills for some fun), but i keep them at bay because i know it would lead to more.
i feel clear for the first time in 2 years. sex drive has come roaring back.
just to let people know, i was taking about 150mgs a day or vic or norco (didnt matter which for me)- it was impossible to get high towards then end, was chasing a feeling that never came.
good riddance to pills, good riddance to lying, good riddance to the fear of running out.
it took me 2 months the first time i went through withdrawals. focus on the small improvements everyday. be proud of your success. your energy will come back....with a vengeance. you'll be surprised. it was the last symptom to go away for me. congrats on 30 days! definitely a HUGE achievement. the addiction didn't happen overnight, and neither will the recovery. your brain will be going through a major reboot for the next few months. don't get discouraged....just give it some time. exercise as much as possible and you will notice a big difference. you're doing so well!

is it normal after 30 days to struggle with fatigue? everything else is great- I just get so tired during the day
You can go to your profile page and put a tracker on it and it will keep count for you. From your first post above it looks like Oct 4th was your first clean day. So here shortly you get to celebrate a month. Good job!
I think I am well past 21 days- feel great- like myself again. Starting to have mental cravings but the thought of going through wds again keeps me away.
Congrats on the clean time keep it up!!!!
stopped taking ativan on day 5 all is good
See my post! Do not take Ativan every day or for more than a few weeks - one of the most addictive benzos around I believe. Withdrawal is very unpleasant!
Glad you are feeling better.

Life is returning to normal- have energy again, can get to sleep. Amazing.
Feeling TONS better, but still struggle with low energy and some depression. No more physical pains...some mental cravings starting to creep in but I have kept them at bay.
So on day 8- feel much better- still have trouble sleeping and feel fluish but I can't tell if I may have the real flu or not. Is that normal on day 8?
I can say it is amazing to not be tired all the time and worried about where and when I will score next.
Biggest problem I have now is waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to get back to sleep.
Thank you for all your support.
I agree with Vicki. I started using melatonin after 5 days and it helped me a lot! A nice long hot bath right before bed and some melatonin!
Also, I found that exercising regularly helped a great deal! I know it feels like you don't want to do anything, but even if it's short walks around the block it'll help! This also helped me to get my energy level back up! Just keep strong and you can make it!!!
I am curious to know what you are detoxing from and how many per day you were taking. Day 4 seems to be the turning point in most of the detoxing stories I have read on this forum but I know it all depends on what and how much you were taking of the medication.
congrats to ya on making to 4 days...just know every day will be better then the last and b4 u know it ur living life to the fullest again. try gettin sum vitamins to help ya sleep. melantonin and valerain root helped me out alot during my detox.. also try taking the hottest bath u can stand and lay in it for as long as u can right b4 bed that will help ya realx a lil more and will help ya sleep....good luck to ya and keep posting for support.
Hi~ Instead of the Ativan try "Super Snooze Melatonin". Apparently it works great!
It's at Walmart and others...
Just looking out for you!
Congrats on your accomplishment - 4 days is a milestone when it comes to withdrawals.
As I think of all that has been affected because of pills, I get angry and ashamed...but that helps to fuel us.
Best of luck to you. (careful with those ativan)
