Congrats on your clean time girl!!! Each day will get better. Get into aftercare as quick as you can. That is so important in our recovery. Stay strong.......sara
My 12 yr old beagle is sleeping next to me right now!!! She is getting old now but she is still my girl~~~~~~~
Yeah Sharon!!! So glad you are feeling better! ME TOO! Thank GOD we stuck it out, man what a difference day 5 makes, huh??? I havn't had one crying spell yet! I'm so glad to be out of the thick of it, that on it's own gives me a natural high. :) Now, I'm just kinda confused on how to live and enjoy life w/o my Norco's. I'm still having a bit of a hard time finding motivation or interest in things again, but I'm sure that will come in time, heck, after those horrendous 4 day's, I'm NOT complaining!!! Good JOB to you! :)
thx.....I appreciate all the praise and support - that sure helps alot. Each of you has offered some excellent advice I do plan to follow - I will begin NA meetings tomorrow, as well as excercise and I don't think I'll forget my day 4 - if I ever feel the need to use again, that will be enough of a deterrent for me. It was horrible-I would have rather had a root canal with no novocaine :-).
So thanks again, I'll keep ya'll posted!! Sharon
Calamity2 - High five to your brother - there's nothing like a Beagle or 3!!!
Wow that's great beagles. !!! I remember day 4 like it was yesterday. I did it twice and it was like the gates of hell had all of its demons screaming in my head. The next day, I actually started to believe I would make it ! DONT do what I did and use on the 14th day (just a few pills) because you go right back into wds!! REMEMBER day 4 its one of the things that keeps me sober.
My brother raises beagles in Alaska
Congrats on day 5!!
It's amazing, indeed, what a day can do in this process. You are doing great. At day 5 I still couldn't move, or if I could, I can't remember, so consider yourself lucky!!!
Very inspiring and very much a great post to read so early in the morning. I wish you all the luck in the world!!
Are you getting aftercare? NA/ AA, or anything? For me, it was mandatory.
Keep posting, and keep strong.
Love
Amy
Thank you too for sharing your story & experience on here. I know its hard but it can be done. I'm on day 29 today & everyday does get better. Keep doing whatever you've been doing because you're doing so great. I agree about finding an NA meeting ASAP. I've been attending them regulary. It kills an hour during the day and helps me get thru another day. Make the effort and go to one. Good luck. And as soon as u can go get yerself a lil exercise you will feel SO SO good :)
