Methadone taper

What would be a comfortable, safe taper from 80mgs of methadone a day? This person needs to continue working as she continues to lower her dose.

HI  aws stated above we cant offer a taper scedual but we can offer you some guidlins   if your working and cant take off the slower the better it may seam like it drags things out but seveal months will be required to get you off 80mg  it is a race the tortus wins you just got to stick it out  one thing I found helpful was taking a 3 in one vitamin  calcum/magnesum/zinc  you can get it at walmart for 6 bucks take 4 with breakfast and 4 with dinner this will keep the withdrawals to a minum  just know tapering can be a chalange and minor withdrawals are common best bet is to get the clinic on board where you go they will help you with the detox prosess good luck and God bless.........Gnarly..................

We cannot offer specific taper instructions.  If at all possible, it's best to do a slow, deliberate taper under the guidance of a doctor.  Can you have your friend post for herself?  It's best if the person can post directly, they can get info and support.  Let her know about the forum.
