The Dr could try Ambien. Also, have you tried the ovc meds like tylonolPM. It tends to make you a little disorientated the next morning. But if it helps great. I've been waking up every few hours too. Then it takes forever to fall asleep again. I'm not in the states now, but I'm also going to try melatonin.
My husband takes it a lot. I heard you're not supposed to use it for years on end though. Oh well. Husbands don't always listen. He's used adivan too for sleep. Try meditation and breathing techniques too.
COngrats on 6 days!!! You are DOING it!!! For me the nausea held on for about a month off and on....it S****D but it did go away!!! Almost everyone says the sleep is the last thing to come back....your body is just getting used to being free from all the junk you put into it!!! Just try to sleep as much as you can, even if its naps during the day!!! It will get better!!! Keep posting and let us know how you are getting on!!!
